At Wecrin, we believe that great recruiting starts with genuine understanding, not just understanding of the hiring process, but of the business itself, their challenges, industries, roles, and people at the centre of it. That belief is reflected in the team we have built, and Favour is a strong example of what that looks like in practice.
Favour joined Wecrin with a Civil Engineering degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, which is the top university in Nigeria, and a background that was heading toward a career in transport or environmental engineering. What she brought into recruiting was not just a CV, it was a technical foundation that has since become one of her most valuable professional assets.
A Different Kind of Recruiter
Most recruiters learn about technical roles from the outside. They study job descriptions, ask clients for context, and build familiarity over time. Favour started from a different place entirely. Her engineering education gave her direct exposure to the concepts, terminology, and problem-solving frameworks that define the roles she now recruits for. That distinction matters more than it might initially appear.
When a client brief lands on her desk, Favour does not need an extended onboarding conversation to understand what is being asked of her. She reads the requirements, identifies what matters, and begins sourcing from an informed position. For clients with complex or highly specialised hiring needs, that saves time, and it reduces the risk of misalignment that often derails technical searches.
Building Expertise Through Real Global Recruiting Projects
Over three and a half years at Wecrin, Favour has developed a strong specialisation in technical and engineering recruitment, working across industries and managing end-to-end hiring processes from initial client briefing through to placement.
One of the clearest demonstrations of her approach came during a hiring project for Applied Intuition, a company operating in the autonomous vehicle technology space in the US whose valuation hit $15billion. The role required sourcing highly specialised engineering talent with a very specific skill set. Favour engaged with the brief directly, communicating fluently with the client throughout, asking the right questions, interpreting requirements accurately, and moving the process forward without the delays that typically come with highly technical searches.
"Because of my background, I could understand what the client needed without them having to over-explain," she notes. "The terminology was already familiar to me. That made the whole process faster and the communication much cleaner."
She has also led recruitment for Gruuw, a gaming company, where the challenge was different in nature but equally demanding. Games development is a niche field with its own skill ecosystem and hiring conventions. Favour had no prior experience in the sector. She built that expertise through structured research, direct client engagement, and a willingness to develop genuine fluency in an unfamiliar space, and she delivered.
How She Works as a Recruiter
Favour's day-to-day process reflects the same rigour she brings to individual projects. For every new role she takes on, she conducts dedicated pre-sourcing research to ensure her understanding of the position is precise before she begins engaging candidates.
She is also actively involved in building the internal systems that keep Wecrin's recruitment operations efficient. The communication frameworks and team process she has helped develop are designed to ensure that client engagements run smoothly, updates are consistent, and nothing falls through the cracks.
What Our Clients Can Expect
Working with Favour means working with someone who takes your brief seriously from the first conversation. She comes prepared, engages with the technical detail of what you are looking for, and maintains clear communication throughout the process. You will not need to simplify your requirements or repeat yourself. She understands the landscape of the roles she recruits for, and that understanding translates directly into better, faster, more accurate hiring.
For organisations looking to hire engineers, developers, and technical specialists, that combination of hands-on recruiting experience and genuine STEM literacy is not a minor detail. It is the difference between a recruiter who fills a role and one who truly understands what the role demands.
Favour is part of a team at Wecrin that is built on exactly that principle — that the people handling your most important hires should be people who understand the work. If you would like to learn more about how we approach technical recruitment, we would be glad to have that conversation.
